Sisqo..."The Last Dragon"

COVERGIRL.....Casting Call

On Monday, January 29th, Queen Latifah and CoverGirl is holding an open-casting call in NYC to find a new face to appear in an ad for the CoverGirl Queen Collection.
All women of color — from Latina to African American — ages 18-48 are invited to strut their stuff in front of a panel of judges, including Queen Latifah herself. Contestants will be asked to share their story as to how they have achieved both inner and outer beauty –whether it was through a recent accomplishment, community service, overcoming an obstacle or standing up for something they were passionate about.

Promoter's Sue Lil Wayne

Lil' Wayne is being sued by a Tampa Bay promotions company, claiming that he missed a concert date and has refused to reschedule the performance. Reports show that the lawsuit was filed Friday (Jan. 19) in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.

The Lawsuit states that Lil Wayne signed a contract with Nunoise Entertainment and Jahfari Promotions to perform at a nightclub in Tampa last October. Lil Wayne missed the event and returned a $15,000 deposit, but the companies claim that Lil Wayne still owes $45,000 for canceling the show and is obligated to schedule another performance. The lawsuit also alleges that promoters lost more than $200,000 due to the cancellation of the show.Representatives for Lil' Wayne were not available to comment.

Lil Kim Reality Show

Lil' Kim will join a brand new reality show called “Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll.” This show has an original concept. A bunch of women battle through a bootcamp of sorts for a shot to be the seventh member of the Pussycat Dolls. Lil' Kim is one of the judges who determines who is going to be in the group and an executive producer on the show.

SUPERBOWL XLI (History Bowl)

For the first time in history, two Black Head Coaches will face off at the Superbowl.
It took 41 years, but both the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts won their divisional championships Sunday which sent them both to this years Superbowl in Miami Florida. Congratulations go out to coaches Tony Dungy (Indianapolis Colts) and Lovie Smith (Chicago Bears)!

Snoop and Ray J...."Smokin Trees"

Snoop Dogg and Ray J makes a bootleg video called "Smoking Trees". Nate Dogg, Shorty Mack, and Slim Thug also appear in this very low budget video that was recorded with a webcam. Seems young Ray J will do anything these days for a little street credibility. The lyrics are recorded over a track called "What I Need" off of Ray J's Radiation album. I've seen better quality recordings done on cellphones...

Jim Jones...Number 1 spot on Billboards


Jim Jones has become the first independent artist to take the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Ringmaster’s Chart, with his smash single “We Fly High.”

The extremely popular ringtone has sold 1.1 million Mastertones, according to Nielsen Ringscan, reaching platinum status after 15 weeks on the charts.

The runaway hit has also landed at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B and Rap chart, after 19 weeks.

Jones’ latest album, Hustler’s P.O.M.E., remains on top of the Billboard Independent Chart, where it debuted nine weeks ago.

At the time of its release, Hustler’s P.O.M.E. took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rap Chart and the No. 6 spot on Billboard’s Top 200.

LocDown....Gators....It Went Down

Friday night it went down at Gators nightclub with the entire LocDown family in the building. Dj Diamond from 101.1 fm (WIZF) was on the 1's and 2's spinning the hottest hits and had the club jumpin all night. CzarNok..Big Neil..Wild Bill..LowKey..Brookville..and the entire LocDown family where all in attendance as the club hit capacity around midnight. It was a wall to wall crowd but what else did you expect, it was a LocDown party. "We ain't been nowhere...LocDown is here to stay...it's LocDown for life. We was just giving you lames time to play...now change lanes lames because we're back." Wild Bill shouted into the microphone as Dj Diamond dropped that new CzarNok single "Supafly" then followed up with Big Neil's single "Pull Up".
