T Pain..."We spread out everywhere"

T-Pain's tour bus is bristling with activity these days. Nope, we're not talking about groupies: Teddy Pain has been working.

His bus has a full studio, and you'll see anybody from E-40 to Da Brat up in there making new material. He's trying to keep in step with the active schedule of the man who signed him: Akon.

"It's not really competitive. It's like we're working together," Pain said. "We try to not be in the same place at the same time. People be like, 'Why I don't never see you and Akon together, y'all not cool?' Nah, that's when you the most cool. ... We spread out everywhere. If he's in California, I'm in New York. People see me and Akon as the same person, so it's basically like Konvict Muzik is spread across the country at the same time. We could cover more places spread out.

Now every song on the radio is T-Pain or Akon or featuring Akon or featuring T-Pain.

"One of Pain's favorite collabos right now is the remix of R. Kelly and Usher's "Same Girl." T plays the woman-in-question's irate husband."Just a couple people I hang around," he laughed about who inspired the lyrics to his verse.

"It happens all the time. People's wives get caught up. ... They didn't mean to, it just happens. It's real-life situations. Just because it's somebody's wife don't mean they can't get bounced around. I had to put my twist on it."

For the record, Pain said he's definitely not talking about his own spouse. "I'd be in jail," he said with a laugh when asked what he would do if that situation ever happened to him.Pain's next big guest appearance will be on Kanye West's next single, "Good Life."

"I had to go in the studio six times and redo the hook. Rewrite it and sing it," he said about working with the perfectionist Kanye. Despite all the changes, Pain said it was an honor.

"The last time he wasn't even there; he was just like, 'Do something, man.' Even when we did the video, he did something to the song that day." ...

Luda's "Strength in Numbers" pushed back

If you're looking for Ludacris' DTP compilation "Strength in Numbers" to be in stores today, forget about it. It's not happening for a long while.

The album, which was supposed to feature 'Cris and artists such as Chingy, Shareefa and Bobby Valentino, has been pushed back so the company can concentrate on the release of Playaz Circle's debut album, Supply and Demand.

According to Luda's people, Circle's "Duffle Bag Boy" made so much noise, they had to capitalize on the momentum of the song.

Yung Joc..."Hustlenomics"

When Yung Joc talks about his hustle game being tight, you better listen. The boy is stacking that paper. Big paper. He ranked on the Forbes list of top-paid rappers — a great feat for anybody, but especially for somebody who made the list with just a debut album under his belt.

"Thanks to God first, the fans, I have a wonderful support team: Block Entertainment, the Warner Music Group, Atlantic, Special Ops and media outlets like this one here," Joc said on the humble last week.

"It takes more than the average civilians could ever imagine to be a star or a celebrity. It's a lot of hard work, determination and ambition." Joc's aptly titled Hustlenomics drops today.

"My hustle is hip-hop," he said. "That's what I'm good with and I have to supply the demand. People want a hit record, I have to give that to them. People want to see a good show, I have to give that to them."

Diddy, Rick Ross, Game, Jim Jones, Snoop Dogg, Young Dro, Bun B and Trick Daddy are among the guest stars on the album, but the Atlanta native said the cameo that will have all the people talking is Pacman — the little guy from the "Coffee Shop" video and single.

Remy Ma has a whole lot of controversy on her hands this week. Remy, who is awaiting trial on attempted-murder charges, just released the mixtape/DVD Shesus Khryst. The cover depicts Remy hanging from a cross topless with a loincloth covering her private parts. Although she's been doing shows and appearing at parties since her arrest a few weeks ago, the former Terror Squad member has been on interview silence, so she can't explain.

Juelz drops "RoyElz"

Juelz Santana is set to launch his RoyElz clothing line this winter. Reportedly modeled after his own personal style and rock star look, RoyElz will be designed by Mr. Slim Mils and will make it's debut at the famed Magic's Fall Marketplace convention in Las Vegas this February.

The line was slated to be unveiled next week at Magic's Spring Marketplace but was pushed back due to a family member's terminal illness.

The line, which the Harlem-born rapper has been preparing for some time, will be a family affair with his mother, Deborah James, and aunt, Laura Tyler, helping with the business.

"My Sister, Juelz, and I are extremely excited about the line", says James, president of the company. "We are looking forward to the launching of RoyElz and seeing it in stores soon".

The Juelz is also putting the finishing touches on his third solo LP, Born To Lose, Built To Win, which has yet to receive a release date, will be a more mature effort and that the subject matter will be expanded on this record.

"This upcoming album will show my growth as an artist," says Santana. "This time around, I'm talking about survival, maintaining my lifestyle and overcoming the obstacles and challenges life brings. The beats will be harder and the lyrics are tighter."

John Singleton kills pedestrian

Director John Singleton has accidentally killed a 57-year-old woman in a car crash in Los Angeles.

The Boyz N the Hood film maker was driving his SUV in the city on Thursday at about 8pm, when a female pedestrian, not in a crosswalk, suddenly stepped in front of Singleton’s car.

A spokesman for Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Singleton was neither speeding nor under the influence of drugs or alcohol and described the incident as “a very, very unfortunate accident.”

The spokesman added that Singleton waited at the scene for police and an ambulance to arrive.

The woman has been identified as Constance Russell of Los Angeles.

DMX's Arizona home raided

Police who raided the Cave Creek, Arizona home of superstar rapper DMX have revealed that they have found a half-pound of suspected illegal narcotics, adding to to a list of charges that could be possibly filed against DMX.

Officers in Maricopa County raided DMX's house on Friday (August 24), after neighbors complained to police that dogs were being subjected to the extreme Arizona heat and that the animals were constantly barking and being mistreated.

Police obtained a search warrant and raided the rapper's house.

They found 12 distressed dogs on the property, as well as the remains of three burned carcasses and a cache of "assault-style" type of weapons.

In addition to the half-pound of suspected drugs, police said several cars had licensed plates that could not be traced.

Of the 12 dogs recovered, only two dogs were pit bulls, the rest a type of mastiff, police have clarified.

While police have admitted that there is no indication that the dogs were used in fights, Sgt. Sherry Beckley said that when police found the dogs, they were very thin and malnourished.

"It is our understanding that those dogs were left in there 23 hours and 15 minutes a day," Sgt. Beckley said. "Somebody would come by once a day and apparently let them out and that is when they had their food and water."

DMX's attorney Murray Richman said that the rapper hired a caretaker to watch the dogs while he is out of the country on a tour of various European countries.

"He has not been there for two months," Richman said in a statement. "He hired a caretaker to take care of the property. DMX is currently on tour. He is not in the U.S."

People who lived near DMX said that he was far from a model neighbor, between the dogs and the rapper's habit of riding his four-wheeler through the area.

"He would just drive very fast down the road on Quads," a neighbor told local News Channel 12. "When you have 10 Quads going down the road, at a very high speed, it creates a lot of dust."

No charges have been filed against DMX and the investigation is on going.
