Wayne Loses In Court
A state court has refused to block the upcoming release of a new controversial documentary on Lil Wayne named The Carter.
The film is being released by QD3 Entertainment, a company owned by producer Quincy Jones III, which has also released Hip-Hop themed titles like Thug Angel, The Freshest Kids, the Beef series and others.
Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit against QD3 Entertainment, claiming the company reneged on a deal that would have allowed him to have approval over the films final cut.
The rapper reportedly took issue with certain scenes displaying his drug use in the documentary, which follows him all over the country and to Amsterdam.
According to the lawsuit, Lil Wayne’s manager reviewed The Carter in December and requested that the scenes in question be removed.
A second cut also failed to live to his manager’s expectations in January and the scenes in question were still in the film when it premiered during the Sundance Film Festival a few weeks later, prompting the lawsuit.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Mink denied a request for a preliminary injunction, paving for the way for QD3 to seed distribution for the project.

Jones' Trial Pushed Back
Jim Jones made a scheduled court appearance yesterday in his misdemeanor assault case involving Ne-Yo’s manager, Javon Smith, with Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin adjourning the case until June 4th.
The move comes after Jones refused a plea deal during his last appearance on March 24th, the same day his album, "Pray IV Reign", hit stores.
Jones’ lawyer Scott Leemon was dismissive over the possibility of a bargain being reached, saying, “I always listen but at this point we’re preparing for trial.”
Leemon also reiterated his doubts over the legitimacy of the accusations made by Javon Smith, the victim in the case. “There were no injuries here and this is all revolving around an alleged civil suit that was filed,” said Leemon.
“From what I understand from media reports, the plaintiff is seeking somewhere in the vicinity of millions and millions of dollars. So, I think that criminal action is brought to set up the civil suit.”

Hot Boys Reunion A Go
Talk of a Hot Boys reunion began in 2007, but it never jumped off. With Wayne blowing up in the mainstream, it looked as though, a reunion project was far from happening.
However, news has surfaced, and it looks like the reunion is back on again. In an interview with Vibe.com, Juve says the Hot Boys are a go.
"I already signed the deal," Juvenile said. "So for me, I'm gonna definitely say it's a go. I already received my check. Wayne is going to put that out, so for me and Wayne, it's a go. I don't know if the business been straightened out, but I know B.G.'s on board and he's willing to do it. I don't know where Turk stands on the business side."
Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and B.G. were scheduled to perform together for the first time in years during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans last February. But, the show was canceled when shots rang out outside the club before they even made it to the there.
So, the concert was shut down.
So, the concert was shut down.
"It was going to be a big, historic moment," B.G. said shortly after the incident. "I was just saying that everybody was cool during the All-Star Weekend, then they start shooting. Why'd they have to shoot up on our night? Guess that's Chopper City for ya."

Rick Ross going in on Eminem
Rick Ross has sidetracked his beef with 50 Cent, bringing up 50's boss Eminem. Ross said that 50 isn’t a worthy competitor anymore.
“50 you bore me, I might need to get at Eminem now,” Rick said. “Eminem, I’m a big fan of yours but your monkey, you’re pet monkey is boring me.”
“If I want any competition I’m gonna have to take this to Eminem’s front door,” Ross added.
Ross even offered an invitation for Eminem to join him on a track.
“Shout out to Aftermath,” Rick said. “Shady what’s up. Eminem you need to get on this ‘Magnificent’ remix. You feel me. I’ma help everybody out.”
When asked if he thinks the feud with 50 helped his career, Rick Ross instead declared himself the undisputed victor.
“Everybody gotta accept this,” he said, “Rick Ross went to war with the monkey and beat him.”
