Jimmy Pleads Not Guilty

Jim Jones has plead not guilty in an assault case involving a 17 year old fan in Panama City, Florida.
Damion Johns is accusing Jones of punching him in the face at a March 13th, MTV Spring Break concert. According to Johns, Jones struck him immediately after ordering him to move out of the way during the show.

Johns stated he hit Jones back, but was then outnumbered when two of Jim Jones bodyguards jumped in. Johns was allegedly slammed to the ground and again punched in the face.

Jim Jones faces one count of misdemeanor battery for the alleged assault.

On June 4, Jones will be in court for another assault charge stemming from his December 2008 brawl with NeYo manager Jayvon Smith at a New York Louis Vuitton store.

Jones' Trial Pushed Back

Jim Jones made a scheduled court appearance yesterday in his misdemeanor assault case involving Ne-Yo’s manager, Javon Smith, with Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin adjourning the case until June 4th.

The move comes after Jones refused a plea deal during his last appearance on March 24th, the same day his album, "Pray IV Reign", hit stores.
Jones’ lawyer Scott Leemon was dismissive over the possibility of a bargain being reached, saying, “I always listen but at this point we’re preparing for trial.”
Leemon also reiterated his doubts over the legitimacy of the accusations made by Javon Smith, the victim in the case. “There were no injuries here and this is all revolving around an alleged civil suit that was filed,” said Leemon.

“From what I understand from media reports, the plaintiff is seeking somewhere in the vicinity of millions and millions of dollars. So, I think that criminal action is brought to set up the civil suit.”

The case stems from an alleged altercation last December between Jones and Smith, in the 5th Avenue Louis Vuitton store. Smith is suing Jones for $7 million due to the pain he claims to have suffered from the incident.

Jimmy signs with Columbia

Jim Jones is making a move to a major label. Jones is now a part of the Columbia Records roster and is planning on dropping his debut or the label in early 2008.

"It's a 50/50 joint venture with Columbia for my production company as well, Jones Family productions," Jones said. "Shout to Rick Rubin for believing in my artistry and Kyambo 'Hip-Hop' Joshua for being my partner in this process. Shout to Koch Records as well, because I broke a lot of ground with them and they gave me my own lane. "

Jones first single, “They Don’t Love Me Anymore,” will drop in the next couple of weeks with a video.

Jim Jones...."Ballin"

Jim Jones' ballin' knows no boundaries. He's spending $2 million getting his artists out of jail. Max B has been in prison for weeks now on murder charges, and not only is Jim going to pay the $2 million bail, but he's getting Max in the studio as soon as he gets out."We got a mixtape coming out called Out on Bail With a Story to Tell. Should be out soon," Jim Jones is currently in L.A., where he is filming his first movie called 'Thug Passion.' I'm playing a lover-boy type. It's a little hot and steamy. I'm having sex all over the place. It'll be a different look for the ladies. No guns involved, just my charm. Elise Neal is in the movie. She's the co-star with me."It's my first experience," he added of his debut. "I'm learning it. It's not the regular type of role they give young black men such as myself. They give us the gangster role, the drug-dealer role. That's why I took it: because it's a stretch."
