Jimmy Pleads Not Guilty

Jim Jones has plead not guilty in an assault case involving a 17 year old fan in Panama City, Florida.
Damion Johns is accusing Jones of punching him in the face at a March 13th, MTV Spring Break concert. According to Johns, Jones struck him immediately after ordering him to move out of the way during the show.

Lil Kim..."The Price Of Loyalty"

Lil Kim will reflect upon her 10 month federal prison stint in her new tell all book titled "The Price of Loyalty."

Lil Kim writes about her experience behind bars at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, after she was accused of lying about her former Junior M.A.F.I.A. group member and co-manager's involvement in a 2001 shooting in Manhattan, New York, and was found guilty of perjury. The Brooklyn native was sentenced to a prison term of a year and one day in 2005, but was released in Sept. 2006 after serving only 10 months.

The book, according to Kim, is meant to provide inspiration to others, specifically those who are serving time in prison.

"It's about the things I learned and went through," she says. "You don't think about things until it happens to you. The book is going to give people who have been in those situations a bright outlook on life."

T.I. To Serve His Time In Arkansas

Details of T.I.'s impending incarceration were released over the weekend.

T.I. will serve his federal prison sentence on weapons charges in Arkansas, and he'll get credit for 305 days of home detention that he already served...which means his actual time behind bars will likely last only two months.

T.I., born Clifford J. Harris Jr., must report to Forrest City's low-security federal prison by noon on May 26th, according to court filings. There, he will join 1,500 other inmates as he serves a year and one day prison sentence after pleading guilty in March to federal weapons charges in Atlanta.

Upon his release, T.I. will be on probation for three years. He must also pay a $100,000 fine as part of his sentence.

A spokesman for the prison, said T.I. likely would be treated like any other prisoner coming into the facility. "Unless there are custody or security concerns, all incoming inmates are placed in general population,".

The spokesman also said each cell at the prison is double bunked. T.I. will also have the opportunity to use the recreation yard, as well as take part in counseling or participate in one of the facility's 14 religious groups.

28 year old T.I. was arrested after trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from undercover federal agents in 2007. That came after his best friend was killed following a post-performance party here in Cincinnati in 2006. The rapper has said the bullets that killed his friend were meant for him.

T.I. had faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each charge in his three-count indictment.

Willie D. Arrested In iPhone Scam

Original Geto Boys member, Willie D (born William James Dennis) was arrested by FBI agents last week at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston and charged with wire fraud in connection with an alleged plot to sell iPhones over the Internet and then never delivering them.

The arrest warrant in the case alleges that Willie D, acting through a shell company called Texas One Wireless, arranged to sell iPhones and other electronics to overseas buyers over the Internet.
Beginning in September 2008, Willie D allegedly used eBay to establish his credibility with international buyers. Once a buyer became interested, D then allegedly moved the transaction outside of eBay to an e-mail account.
Once the buyers had electronically transferred money into his account, the warrant claims, the rapper would send tracking numbers for packages that were never shipped. When the shipments never arrived and the buyers complained about not receiving their purchases, officials allege that Willie D. claimed he filed a complaint with the U.S. Postal Service or the carrier handling the shipment, but that he could not refund their money until he tracked down the goods.

At some point, investigators claim, Willie D. would stop communicating with the buyers, which led one of the disgruntled customers to contact law enforcement authorities. The charge carries a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Joc Suing Block Ent. & Bad Boy

It seems that Yung Joc, who’s raked in millions of dollars for Bad Boy Records and Block Entertainment, has had his share in dealing with shady business practices of the music industry, particularly with Block Ent.

Shady business deals, missing budgets, and now rumors of company financial hardships.

Block Entertainment’s number one artist has been noticeably absent from the roster for at least a year. There have been industry whispers going around that there was inner turmoil inside the record label, particularly between Joc and Block. A couple of weeks ago the newest rumor was that Joc was leaving Block Entertainment all together and had decided to make the full move over to Bad Boy Records, but it looks like Bad Boy records is playing games with Joc too, so now Joc’s taking everybody to court.

Joc alleges that due to contractual situations, unpaid royalties and unpaid advances that he and is legal team is currently in the process of taking legal action against his record label.

The multi-platinum rap star alleges that Block Ent. & Bad Boy Records hasn’t offered any label support since 2007. Yung Joc went on to make shocking claims about the inner dealings of Block Ent.

According to Joc, he’s paid for his own public relations, claims to not be receiving his advance money for his projects, alleges that Block has used advances for other projects, and even makes shocking claims regarding his former management company 9196.

Joc quickly broke down his reasons for splitting with his former mgmt company, which happened to be owned by Big Block, but is fronted by CEO Rico Brooks. Joc breaks down the situation by saying that it was nothing more then a 360 deal , that resulted in Block getting a piece of everything Joc does.

Big Block charged other record companies $25,000. to clear Joc for a record? That explains why we haven’t seen Joc in any video’s recently. Joc shared tails of Block’s ‘Suge Knight" type actions that’s prevented Joc from being cleared to do other music projects, with other artist outside of Bad Boy and Block Ent.

Joc is currently being legally represented by Londell Mcmillian and Nova Perry.

Joc’s currently hard at work on his newest project “Mr Robinson’s Neighborhood”. Joc has re-teamed up with producer Nitti.

Gucci's Off Big Cat...Signs With Warner

Gucci Mane has confirmed that he has signed a new contract with Warner Bros.
This move ends Gucci’s long-standing professional relationship with Big Cat Records, who yesterday released Murder Was the Case...a collection of Gucci songs recorded years ago, including “Stoopid” and “Runnin-Back Gittin Fat.”

Although Gucci is grateful for the support his previous label provided during his 2005 murder acquittal and 2006 incarceration, Gucci made it clear that he does not endorse the Big Cat project nor considers it an official LP.

"I am no longer signed to, booked by, or working with Big Cat Records or any of its employees in any way,” Gucci Mane said. “The CD that Big Cat is putting out consists of records that were never planned to make my album and is a non-official release. My fans will get the official Gucci Mane album in August on Warner Bros. Records.”

G-Unit Dropped From Interscope

G-Unit, has been officially dropped from Interscope and Lloyd Banks has commented on the situation.

“I was ready to make a move,” Banks said. “I’m a brand-new engine. If anything, it’s their loss. It’s been a dark shadow cast upon that. That’s why you hear Funk Master Flex on the radio boycotting Interscope, because it’s an aura created around that machine, and the artists automatically get smacked in the head.” “An artist signed to Interscope doesn’t even know what’s going on,” Banks said.“You just turn on the radio, and they’re saying, ‘Fuck Interscope Records,’ and you fall into that batch. So it’s almost a foul taste in the mouth when they deliver the record. I felt it’s time for me to go somewhere where it’s not biased and I get a fair shot. There’s a lot of stuff on the table right now. You don’t wanna speak about it until it gets ironed out all the way.”

Statement Issued In The La La Incident

“La La Vasquez became distressed during a heated playoff game, after being verbally attacked by some opposing fans, who were using racial slurs, calling her child crude names and throwing ice cubes. She sent her son home early and was preparing to leave herself when she was physically pushed. Although shaken, she left the premises on her own will and is happy to be at home with her fiancée and child.”

“Obviously the play-offs games bring out the best and the worst in fans but what happened on Monday night with the racial slurs/threats, verbal attacks on my son and physical attacks to myself by irate fans was unacceptable,” states La La. “The fans were totally out of control. What the cameras captured was me defending myself and didn’t show the abuse that was taking place.”

No Cameras at the Lil Wayne Trial

An Arizona Superior Court judge ruled that cameras will not be allowed during the weapons trial of Lil Wayne.

Judge Mark Wayne Reeves decreed that the press will be able to attend and report the trial proceedings.

However, Reeves added that Lil Wayne's legal right to a fair trial was paramount, and the decision was made to prevent Wayne’s trial from degrading into a media circus.

Lil Wayne, was arrested last year on January 28, 2008 after Border Patrol officials on Interstate 8 East allegedly discovered an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of Ecstasy, and close to four ounces of marijuana from the rapper’s tour bus.

Wayne was also originally booked on weapons charges, but was later cleared after the .40 caliber pistol was found to be registered under a Florida concealed weapons permit

" Even though all our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history, at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media. Trick Has Words For Rick Ross

It's no secret that there's been tension between Trick Daddy and Rick Ross for months, starting with rumors that Trick leaked the corrections officer photos and info about Rick Ross.

In a recent radio show interview, Trick denied those accusations, and later said that without him there would be no Rick Ross.

"The sad part about this is when the first corrections officer picture came out, about a week later I saw an interview, the interviewer said, 'So Rick Ross, how do you feel about Trick Daddy calling you a prison guard?' Time out," Trick said. "Ain't no way you went for that dumb ass shit right there. The sad part is that that interview is three years old. You do the math?"

"I just don't understand it, I was a big Ross fan and if you check all my interviews, you check the web, radio, I never sneak dissed him",Trick Said. "I always tell people I like Ross as an artist, even when he was Teflon Don. Whatever he wanted to be, I supported him. For him to try and assassinate my character?"

If you've already copped the new album by Rick Ross (Deeper Than Rap) you may have heard his record "Valley of Death," in which Ross says Trick Daddy has AIDS, not Lupus.

"Caught a little case, buddy had a little cheddar," Ross raps on the diss." "Pled out to 15, poured his life in a letter / Very first line he called Trick Daddy stupid / Said he had AIDS, telling people that it's lupus / Not the one just to jump to conclusions / I'm getting money, small talk can be a nuisance."

"I've been arrested and convicted of more crimes than he been pulled over and written a ticket for. When did I have time to be a pussy?" Trick asked. "Why do you gotta use me as an example? I don't give a fuck who told you what. Don't mention my name in your raps. That's disrespectful."

"I'ma real Miami nigga. I was born and raised in Miami. I'm not moving no fuckin' where. I'm not going nowhere. My studio was in Carol City for three years...that whole three years that player hatin' shit was going on," he continued.

Through the shots and all, Trick has taken the high road, but he now says that he's going by a new set of rules...ass whoopings. So, respect him or suffer the consequences.

"The problem is police, snitches, niggas use 911. Your kids use 911 against you," Trick said.

"Like I said, I'd like to apologize for not raising my son properly, but I got new rules. I'm going back to the old ass whooping days. I'm whopping all my kids' asses. Whoever it is, fake ass cartel, whoever you wanna send. I'mma have to start beating my kids' ass for disobeying me. Ass whoopings worked for me back in the days. You gonna have to start respecting me."

Million Dollar Jay Concert A Flop.

Grand Hustle's "Alfamega"...(SNITCH)

The protégé of T.I., Cedric “Alfamega” Zellars is a convicted felon whose songs boast about his status as an “original gangster” and contain de rigeur references to police tape, automatic weapons, and murder.

Alfamega, an artist with T.I.’s Grand Hustle Entertainment, calls himself “The Grand Hustle Muscle,” and proclaims, “I’m a real hood nigga.” What he does not mention, though, is his prior work as a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) informant who snitched out criminal cohorts and testified as a government witness at the trial of an Atlanta heroin trafficker.

Court records show that Zellars began working with law enforcement officials after he was sentenced in October 1995 to 110 months in a federal gun case (Zellars, who had a prior felony robbery conviction, was collared for selling weapons to an undercover federal agent).

Zellars “agreed to cooperate with authorities and was debriefed” about the criminal activity of several individuals. “In particular he was debriefed concerning the drug trafficking activities of a Mr. Ali Baaqar,” according to a government court filing. During his cooperation against Baaqar, Zellars met with a DEA agent and a federal prosecutor, and subsequently testified at trial. “Ali Baaqar was convicted of conspiracy to distribute heroin based upon the trial testimony of Zellars.”

In return for his snitching, Zellars had 18 months shaved off his prison term when he was resentenced in July 1997 by Judge J. Owen Forrester. A court order signed by Forrester came after federal prosecutors petitioned the jurist to reduce Zellars’s sentence in light of his “substantial assistance to the Government.”

The disclosure of Zellars’s informant past will likely not sit well with rap fans and performers alike, many of whom promote hip-hop’s “Stop Snitching” doctrine. Additionally, since T.I. is soon headed to prison due to the work of a government informant.
Zellars’s time as a government asset could be a cause for tension around the Grand Hustle offices.

Lebron Takes MVP

It’s official! LeBron James is set to become the league’s most valuable player (MVP).

Lebron will accept the award at a press conference at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School, his alma mater, at 4 p.m. on Monday. Lebron becomes the first Cavalier to win the award. At 24, he is the second-youngest player to win the award, behind Wes Unseld, who won it at 23 in 1969.

With all due respect to the likes of Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Chris Paul, there was no other possible conclusion to the MVP race. Lebron had a sensational season with statistics that could not be ignored. James averaged 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game this season, leading the Cavaliers in all three categories. His per-36 minute averages — 27.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists — were all career bests.

Lebron rightfully earned his position at number one but many can debate the names of Dwayne “Flash” Wade or a Kobe “The Closer” Bryant for that spot. Congrats King James! We’ll see you in the finals…

According to the court documents, Mitchell claims Gibson was an absentee-father who didn’t support her or their daughter. The couple filed for divorce last October after 10 months of marriage.
Well here is the outcome of the proceedings...

His estranged Wife Norma doesn't get a piece of any of Tyrese's possessions -- not his production company, not his cars, not his house ... nothing.

The prenup does state that Norma would get a lump sum of $50,000 for every year that they were married -- maxed out at 10 years.

They was only married 10 months.

The prenup even says that if either side files for separation or divorce, Norma has to move out of the house within 60 days -- or else Tyrese can get a court order to make her move out. Wow.

Wayne Loses In Court

A state court has refused to block the upcoming release of a new controversial documentary on Lil Wayne named The Carter.

The film is being released by QD3 Entertainment, a company owned by producer Quincy Jones III, which has also released Hip-Hop themed titles like Thug Angel, The Freshest Kids, the Beef series and others.

Lil Wayne filed a lawsuit against QD3 Entertainment, claiming the company reneged on a deal that would have allowed him to have approval over the films final cut.

The rapper reportedly took issue with certain scenes displaying his drug use in the documentary, which follows him all over the country and to Amsterdam.

According to the lawsuit, Lil Wayne’s manager reviewed The Carter in December and requested that the scenes in question be removed.

A second cut also failed to live to his manager’s expectations in January and the scenes in question were still in the film when it premiered during the Sundance Film Festival a few weeks later, prompting the lawsuit.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Mink denied a request for a preliminary injunction, paving for the way for QD3 to seed distribution for the project.

Jones' Trial Pushed Back

Jim Jones made a scheduled court appearance yesterday in his misdemeanor assault case involving Ne-Yo’s manager, Javon Smith, with Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin adjourning the case until June 4th.

The move comes after Jones refused a plea deal during his last appearance on March 24th, the same day his album, "Pray IV Reign", hit stores.
Jones’ lawyer Scott Leemon was dismissive over the possibility of a bargain being reached, saying, “I always listen but at this point we’re preparing for trial.”
Leemon also reiterated his doubts over the legitimacy of the accusations made by Javon Smith, the victim in the case. “There were no injuries here and this is all revolving around an alleged civil suit that was filed,” said Leemon.

“From what I understand from media reports, the plaintiff is seeking somewhere in the vicinity of millions and millions of dollars. So, I think that criminal action is brought to set up the civil suit.”

The case stems from an alleged altercation last December between Jones and Smith, in the 5th Avenue Louis Vuitton store. Smith is suing Jones for $7 million due to the pain he claims to have suffered from the incident.

Hot Boys Reunion A Go

Talk of a Hot Boys reunion began in 2007, but it never jumped off. With Wayne blowing up in the mainstream, it looked as though, a reunion project was far from happening.

However, news has surfaced, and it looks like the reunion is back on again. In an interview with Vibe.com, Juve says the Hot Boys are a go.

"I already signed the deal," Juvenile said. "So for me, I'm gonna definitely say it's a go. I already received my check. Wayne is going to put that out, so for me and Wayne, it's a go. I don't know if the business been straightened out, but I know B.G.'s on board and he's willing to do it. I don't know where Turk stands on the business side."

Lil Wayne, Juvenile, and B.G. were scheduled to perform together for the first time in years during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans last February. But, the show was canceled when shots rang out outside the club before they even made it to the there.
So, the concert was shut down.

"It was going to be a big, historic moment," B.G. said shortly after the incident. "I was just saying that everybody was cool during the All-Star Weekend, then they start shooting. Why'd they have to shoot up on our night? Guess that's Chopper City for ya."
