Gonja was born & brought up in the streets of the Brick,where some would say he's lived a difficult life. Gonja started his rap career at the early age of 10 and was writing & producing his own music by the time he turned 12. Now in 2007 Gonja has mastered the art of rapping, finding himself performing at packed nightclubs, concerts, doing radio interviews, mixtapes and a variety of big events. Over the past year he has become more popular then ever in his career, but even with a big successful future ahead of him there's still things in his past that he'll never forget or be able to let go.Gonja was just recovering from being shot twice in a drive by shooting in early 2005 when 9 months later he decided to take a road trip with a few partners to Indiana. Gonja and his partners where there on business when bad vibes led to both sides starting to suspect it was a set up. Gun fire broke out which landed the Cincinnati rapper in Wishard Hospitals I.C.U. with 5 more gunshot wounds including one to his chest that which doctors say almost took his life. 9 days later Gonja was discharged from the Indiana Hospital and returned to his hometown Cincinnati 10 pounds lighter and with scars he would carry with him for the rest of his life.
With his new found respect for life & the birth of his first child, Gonja decided to change his life and spend his time recording and pushing his music to support his daughter. Along the way Gonja me LocDown recording artist "Wild Bill". This was a major step for Gonja, and those who left their susses in his hands. Wild Bill would later become Gonja's manager and key business advisor for "Def Side Records". With all the puzzle pieces place, Gonja's career quickly took off and till this day Gonja, Def Side Records, Wild Bill, & Wild Bill Entertainment are going stronger then ever.
