Snoop Dogg pleaded not guilty to weapons charges in a California court through his attorney yesterday.Snoop was arrested on suspicion of weapons charges in Sept. 2006, when security guards found a collapsible, 53 inch baton in one of Snoop Dogg's carry on bags as he was enroute to San Francisco.
Snoop told officers that the baton was a prop for a movie he was filming.
If convicted, the rapper faces up to three years in prison.
In Oct., the rapper was arrested at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA on suspicion of drug and gun possession, after police searched his car and recovered a small amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun.
In Nov., Snoop and two associates were arrested in Burbank, CA, after a performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Snoop's vehicle was stopped by officers as he pulled out of NBC studios after the performance and arrested when police recovered a handgun and small amounts of marijuana and cocaine in the vehicle.
While police have yet to file charges in the Oct. and Nov. incidents, the cases are under review according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.
